　　Sam (Matthew Broderick) is the reasonable man in a crazy urban world, the man of thoughtfulness and refined taste in a landscape of Leroy Neiman paintings and beer commercials. The guy would sooner cook for an hour over a hot stove than say `supersize it.'
　　By day he's a store clerk in an upscale gourmet eatery, and these scenes raise a smile, especially for anyone who's visited the actual chain in New York City -- the portrayal isn't far off from the reality. Our man is besieged by hoards of customers who want their imported French cheese cut to impossibly exact standards. His efforts to remain outwardly polite (while you know he'd like to take the cleaver to the relentless clientele) are pretty funny, and will warm the hearts of clerks everywhere. In general, Broderick is in good form and provides the movie with most of whatever lightness it possesses.
　　Sciorra's lovelorn dental hygienist, Ellen, is fine enough, too, and her unknowing interaction with our cheese-slicing hero shows some hopeful chemistry, and you may begin to feel you want to see these two get together.
　　One of the main competitors for our lady's affections, a stockbroker (Kevin Anderson), is played as caricature: he's the beer swilling frat-boy whose idea of after-sex sensitivity is flipping on the football game. He's kind of funny at times, but the movie might be stronger if he was written or acted for us to like him more, instead of having us merely recognize him as the flat-out `wrong' guy in comparison to Broderick's sensitive man. Think of John Candy in Splash, taking a cigarette and beer can to the racquetball game; we know his lifestyle is not the one our hero should emulate, but we can't help but be charmed by the likeable goon. Whereas this character is merely a goon, and pretty unlikable all around.
　　While it's a nice enough light movie for the first half, for me the story was somewhat derailed by its unbelievable (Hollywood) presentation of sex and adultery. (SPOILER AHEAD, skip to next paragraph.) When Ellen returns home after an evening's misadventures, she is naturally faced with the questioning husband (Michael Mantell). Quickly admitting her own indiscretion, she then immediately turns the situation around, demanding to know why the guy had gone ahead and bought a house without discussing it. Granted, it's a valid issue, and granted, many people use this countering maneuver in arguments. What's unbelievable is what happens next: the guy starts responding to her question, addressing the house-issue in a quiet, thoughtful manner. WHOA. You'd be hard pressed to find a married person in the world who, when faced with his/her partner's totally unexpected adultery, would be ready to address anything so calmly. The guy would surely be bouncing off the walls, or else crushed into silence and tears - but see, then we might actually feel for the poor schnook, and we'd see Sciorra's character in a poor light. And since that particular audience reaction doesn't serve the romantic comedy, the story tries to sneak around it. You may start to feel that, like the husband, you're being taken.
　　Further dissatisfaction is just around the corner in the ending. We realize this is where misunderstandings will get sorted out, and our couple will finally see a clear path to one another. We want the satisfaction of rooting for them. But it's marred by another unbelievable character reaction, followed by an abrupt conclusion that feels rushed and forced, too easy and unearned. You may feel as though the movie's cheating on you again...

　　电影《男二本色》讲述了一群“傻傻的可爱的”男人遭遇的一系列啼笑皆非的“囧事”，不但昭示了“天公疼憨人，傻人有傻福” 这个简单朴实的道理，还在接地气的诙谐幽默中透着生活的辛酸与家庭温情，让人笑出声、流下泪，可谓是一部充满讽刺和戏剧性的黑色幽默电影，大有当年《疯狂的石头》的风范，显示出一定的黑马潜力。

　　《女仆》是智利年轻导演赛巴斯丁·西瓦的第二部长片电影。
　　故事的主人公是位服务了主人家23年的女佣人。智利女仆拉奎尔（卡特琳娜·萨维德拉 Catalina Saavedra 饰）是智利传统中上阶层家庭的佣人。她一个人照顾这一大家子，每天闹钟响起，开始忙碌的一天，作饭、洗衣、打扫，照顾三个被她宠坏的小男孩，及两个与她作对的大女孩。她在这个家庭服务了23年，深知家中每个人的秘密，犹如这个家庭里的成员，连主人都要敬她三分。女主人体恤拉奎尔的辛劳，决定帮她找个助手。然而工作是拉奎尔生活的全部，这个领域根本容不得他人越雷池一步，她尽心机、耍尽手段，想尽办法搞走新来的女仆。直到善良单纯的新女仆露西的带来，让拉奎尔自我禁锢已久的心灵也开启了一扇门。

　　吉娜(凯丽•拉塞尔 饰)擅长制作各种美味非常的馅饼,她把每天在生活中的经历都化为做馅饼的灵感。但实际上她的生活并不快乐，她被一段名存实亡的婚姻困扰多年。
　　她一心想参加馅饼比赛，得到足够多的钱之后离开丈夫厄尔（杰瑞米•西斯托 饰）现自己怀孕了，她知道自己的丈夫是个自私的人，无法养育孩子。她十分迷茫之际，遇到了妇产科医生波马特（内森•菲利安 饰）并且两人疯狂的恋上了，波马特也是个已婚之人。她知道自己的行为是错误的，但她还是不能控制的与波马特见面，受尽良心谴责的她从朋友身上得到了很多的启示。
　　就在女儿出生当天，她决意要与丈夫分开，也要好好处理与波马特的关系。

　　"The Witch Burnt Alive"
　　After a very long, but visually arresting animated opening credits sequence, Luchino Visconti (Death in Venice) directs the first story, which is the longest of the five, taking approximately a third of the film's running length. Mangano plays a superstar actress and model who travels to a mountain resort, only to find the well-to-do inhabitants have prejudices and preconceived notions about her based on her public persona. The women are all jealous and the men all want to sleep with her, but all Mangano wants is to be left alone. It's a mostly somber satirical piece, but story-wise, it languishes in its modest idea a bit long, becoming inconsequential to all but those fascinated by the realities of being famous.
　　"Community Spirit"
　　Bolognini's piece isn't really a story. It's more of a visual gag, in a short segment that features Mangano offering to take an injured man to a hospital, driving him at breakneck speed throughout the city, but not stopping at locations where he might find aid. I won't give away the punchline here, but it succeeds in being amusing, even if it's the kind of thing that only is interesting the first time through.
　　"The Earth Seen from the Moon"
　　The esteemed writer/director, Pier Paolo Pasolini (Salo), crafts the middle segment, which is the most artistic and memorable of the five. Reminiscent in style to "Don Quixote", a recently widowed father and his son travel around the country in search of a new wife and mother, and after a long period, they discover the literally speechless Mangano. She brings joy into their lives, but they are poor, and in order to find a better life for themselves, they concoct a scheme to try to make some quick cash. The story is contrived, and not completely interesting, but the outlandish performances, artwork, and costumes does evoke great charm and likeability. Although mute, it's probably the most appealing of Mangano's five performances, and Toto is terrific.
　　"The Sicilian"
　　Franco Rossi directs the fourth an shortest piece, a straight-forward revenge story that comes and goes before it ever has a chance of becoming interesting. It's violent, but easily the least satisfying of the five stories.
　　"A Night Like Any Other"
　　Eastwood's appearance is clearly the biggest attraction here, which was filmed in between the Sergio Leone "Dollars" trilogy. It's an enjoyable departure from his normal roles, playing a comedic romantic lead, and he is affably fun to watch. Famed Italian director, Vittorio de Sica (The Bicycle Thief, Umberto D.) does a masterful job with the story, which perfectly blends the mundane and the fantasy in a visually satisfying way. The story is about a bored housewife (Mangano, of course), who tries in vain to get her husband to realize that he is not as romantic as he used to be. The scene is interspersed with comedic romance sequences revolving around the couple's past romantic interludes, and dreams of how their lives should be.

　　艺术品收藏家艾德琳（帕特里克·波查 Patrick Bauchau 饰）来到朋友丹尼尔（Daniel Pommereulle 饰）的海边别墅度假，在这里，他遇见了漂亮的女孩海蒂（哈蒂·波丽托弗 Haydée Politoff 饰）。丹尼尔告诉艾德琳，海蒂是个生活作风颇为开放的女孩，有许多个风格迥异的男友，艾德琳和朋友在背后戏称她为“收集男人的女人”。艾德琳崇尚健康、自然、克制的生活方式，这样的他自然瞧不起海蒂的放浪形骸，但同时，他发现自己又总是不经意的注意着海蒂，这个女孩的一举一动能够轻易的牵动他的情绪，并且，海蒂似乎对自己也心怀好感。没想到，海蒂选择的居然是自己的好友丹尼尔，这让艾德琳心里很不是滋味，他离开别墅回归到自己的生活，却仍然和海蒂保持着藕断丝连的关系。在法国这个热情浪漫的城市里，一对男女对待感情兜兜转转遮遮掩掩，艾德琳是否会成为海蒂的下一个“收藏品”呢？

　　广东人张三波（梁醒波 饰）和南方人李四宝（刘恩甲 饰）租住在同一间公寓里，两人又同样经营着洋服店，互为竞争对手关系的他们之间常常因为生意问题而产生矛盾，生活中也经常因为南北习惯的差异而爆发争吵。
　　张三波有一个宝贝女儿丽珍（白露明 饰），哪知道自己辛辛苦苦栽培的女儿竟然便宜了名叫王文安（雷震 饰）的外省人。与此同时，李四宝的女儿翠华（丁皓 饰）也喜欢上了广东人麦永辉（张清 饰），张三波和李四宝这两个原本的死对头，竟然因为儿女的事情渐渐有了共同话题。之后，两人的洋服店因为资金运转不周而面临倒闭的窘境，这个节骨眼上，王文安和麦永辉出手相助，最终两家人化解了误会，喜结连理。

　　How easy is it for desperate youngsters to become dangerous gangsters in a decaying society washed all over by the blood of war? Fairly easy indeed. Rane shows incidents, probably somewhat facts, that took place in Serbia of the war era. Things similar to what you see on this film could happen virtually everywhere, but this film gives a very Yugoslavian feeling to everything. Yugo style mafia, Yugo style murder, and all that. Revolting politicians and their greed are to blame, not only the desperate young men who lose their reasoning while trying to be someone. The film and the casting is overall successful, and it's so very Serbian. I recommend it to anyone who.. well anyone who likes a good film. But don't expect anything American style on this one, as I say it's Yugo to the bone.

　　本片為華南影帝張瑛與梁天合作的清末喜劇，二人在片中分別飾演「刁師爺」荒唐鏡及「足智多謀奇人」陳夢吉，角色既鬥智力亦鬥演技，拼擦出火花。故事描述足智多謀的陳夢吉，為打聽師妹下落，連同僕人來到順德。後得知當地有名「刁師爺」荒唐鏡，刻薄成性，遂扮成僕人應聘且提出三項條件，荒不虞有詐。誰料往往被陳抓到痛處，一連串「鬥智鬥力」的腦筋比拼隨即展開。

　　警探探戈及加什，行动勇猛，办案搏命，在某项行动中，破获庞大白粉走私案，黑帮损失极大，于是设下圈套，令二探员成为杀人凶手，被判入狱。黑帮又买通狱长，要玩残两人，两人只有逃狱。往找黑帮晦气，及找出证据证实二人无辜！
